Signature Watermark Tutorial by Hanafae Signature Watermark Tutorial by Hanafae
I made this for :iconblueangelsakura:, and for anyone else who isn't all that familiar with Photoshop and would like to watermark their images :) This little tutorial will show you how to create a signature watermark and place it on your picture.

For some reason, Photoshop won't let me link my layers.... :( I'm using CS4. (I have 2 layers.)

You need to select them both in order to be able to lock them (otherwise the option stays greyed out in the menu). Select one layer, hold down shift then click on the layer and release shift after. Then it should work.

Thanks for uploading the tutorial. I'm using it in my new works since I lost my old watermark. Well, I felt that I needed to change a new one. Thanks again! =D

I like the clean look of the signature. So you had inspired me to create my new watermark. =D

This is nice :D I'm curious to see the result, can you point me out to some of your art that has your new signature on it?

For instance, at my profile, the "Beaming Headlight" is an example of the new signature added. Also if you look through my gallery, in the folder "Baybeats 2009". The photos also contain it.

Really? I don't know Egyptian names, but if you say so! :XD: I actually made it up with 'hana', which is Japanese for flower, and 'fae' for fairy. In other words, I wanted to be called Flower Flairy and have something that sounded nice and pretty :D

Thanks for posting these. Woefully, I am without Photoshop, which is why you don't see a watermark on my photos. I can't handle the big square one that dA provides... ack!

You're welcome, and thanks for faving! The majority of photo editing software uses layers, so you could probably achieve it without Photoshop. I've heard a lot about the GIMP, which is free. It allows the use of layers, but I've never tried the software myself. You can download it here: [link] .

And I agree with you, the dA watermark ruins the entire picture! :p

Thanks again for the additional info .. I'll probably end up getting Photoshop in the near future, after my computer finally dies and I have to get a new one!
