It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Cost and payment

There are different prices depending on what you want. To see how much that makes in your currency, check out [link] . If you do not have a PayPal account and cannot have one for some reason, note me and we'll see what we can do. I can also accept payment in US $ according to the current exchange rates +1$ to cover Paypal conversion fees.

Basic price
Full design + code from scratch: 12$ CAD.
Simple skin design & coded based on your art as top banner (picture, drawing, etc. that you provide) : 8$ CAD.
Coding based on your fully-designed skin (a design that's realistic to code): 6$ CAD.

Included features:
For all journal types: round or square corners (your choice), a bigger title style, a smaller title style, a non-scrolling box and a scrolling box.

Extra features:
Any extra (extra box with a different color, extra title style, extra graphic to decorate the journal, etc.) costs 0.50$ apiece.

What you will get

A custom journal skin designed just for you according to your directives.

The skin is available only to you (I do not submit it to dA as a public installable skin).

How it works

Please contact me by note.

You tell me what features you want, and the overall look you are looking for.

I work on it and send you a preview.

When everything is final, you send me payment.

I e-mail you the code with instructions on how/where to use it.

What you must agree to

You cannot redistribute or sell the skin.

You cannot submit it to dA as your own, altered or not.

I am free to post a picture of the final result to my dA gallery to show my work (picture only, no installable skin). I will also post a link to your dA account in the description as the commissioner, unless you tell me you do not want me to.

If you supply me with images/resources to work with, you either: a) must be the owner, b) must have permission from the owner along with contact details so I can check with this person, c) if it is stock that requires credit, you must provide me with the links so I can mention proper credits.

I like to recycle. If you reject some elements of the designs I submit to you, don't be surprised to see them showing up in future skins of my own. However, I will never do this with resources that are yours.

If you make minor alterations to the skin, those mustn't involve deleting the credits.
